Our Story
The Hungry Donut opened in Ocean Pines, MD, in 2018 with the mission of spreading our love of scrumptious donuts and other tasty treats! We couldn’t have asked for a better reception. Since we first started, we’ve developed a loyal fan base, that is just as particular about scrumptious donuts and tasty treats as we are! Come on in and meet us in person.
Growing up, spending the summers in Ocean City, Maryland, I always remember my Father bringing home hot donuts. They were covered in an assortment of delicious gooey mess. Chocolate, caramel, nuts, sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar and of course, chocolate chips.
After college, I moved to Ocean Pines, MD which was just supposed to be for the summer, to work and then journey into the big city. I am an artist/designer/illustrator or at least I had a very expensive piece of paper that said so... a few years later, I decided to stay and make Ocean Pines, MD my home.
I worked for a Manhattan firm and designed for clients such as HBO, Kraft General Foods, CocaCola, the Super Bowl and the list goes on and on... I stepped into the newspaper industry for several years, working locally at The Wave, The Beachcomber and then moving out to the Daily Times as Senior Creative in their marketing department. I finally hung up my ties and opened my own Advertising Firm, where I focused on the "little guys" offering Big City Style with Small Town prices.
Fast forward many years, and a few other businesses built, bought and sold... I decided to go back to my roots, where it all began and offer the experience that I cherish. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did and you take home great memories with family and friends!
